Penfold Golf is announcing a new partnership with one of the leading youth golf programs in the U.S., the PGA Jr. League.
Under the agreement, Penfold will provide custom-designed equipment and accessories to PGA Jr. League players, coaches and teams.
“We’re honored to be part of a program that is shaping the future of golf,” says Penfold Golf CEO Gavin Perrett. “PGA Jr. League represents everything we believe in: teamwork, sportsmanship and a deep love for the game.”
The partnership became official late last month at the 2025 PGA Jr. League Championships for the 17U division in New Mexico. The 13U championships will be held later this month at PGA Frisco in Texas.
What is the PGA Jr. League?
Operated by the PGA of America, the PGA Jr. League serves more than 70,000 boys and girls each year. It’s known for its low-pressure team-based format and its inclusive environment.
“Having Penfold Golf support PGA Jr. League adds a layer of quality and tradition that aligns beautifully with our mission,” says Jake Weir of the PGA of America. “Together, we’re equipping young athletes not just with product but with inspiration rooted in the game’s rich legacy.”
PGA Jr. League players compete in two-person scramble matches, wearing numbered jerseys like those in other youth sports. No prior golf experience is required. The program is supported by the likes of Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler, Lexi Thompson, Michelle Wie and Steph Curry.
A focus on accessibility
The PGA Jr. League is not a program just for country club kids. It is the flagship youth initiative of the PGA REACH Foundation, a non-profit organization focusing on making golf accessible to all youth, regardless of background, circumstance or ability.
The organization awarded more than 5,000 scholarships last year to kids from military families or those who qualified for financial assistance. Many of the local programs offer loaner clubs or help families get started with affordable gear.
Co-branded products will be available soon on the Penfold Golf website and through participating PGA Jr. League programs.
