The New 2025 Vokey Forged ( JAPAN ONLY ) Wedge!

2025 Titleist Japan Only Vokey Forged Wedge
This is the new Vokey Forged Wedge from Titleist Japan. Every couple of years, Titleist Japan releases a new forged wedge, and unlike the ones available in the U.S., this version is forged. The U.S. models are cast, which still perform well, but this forged version offers something a little different. A lot of players really like that softer feel.
To clarify, this isn’t a traditional one-piece forged head. Titleist uses the term “Co-Forged,” which means there are internal design features like toe-side weighting and subtle internal cavities. These adjustments help raise the MOI and position the center of gravity in a way that promotes more consistent and accurate shots.
Compared to the SM10, this wedge is more forgiving, especially for everyday players. I tend to prefer slightly larger wedges myself. That’s why I’ve liked models like the Bridgestone Bite Spin. These new Vokey Forged wedges aren’t as large, but they still give me a solid sense of control. They feel a bit more stable at impact than smaller, tour-style wedges.
New Look, New Shape
Visually, this head looks smoother than the SM10. The shape flows better. For lofts 46 through 52 degrees, the leading edge has been made straighter to help with alignment at address. From 54 to 60 degrees, the leading edge is more rounded, which gives it a natural look when the face is open for approach shots.

Each loft in the Vokey Forged Wedge is built with a progressive center of gravity. That design helps promote square contact and leads to more stable, consistent shots. The grooves are precision milled to deliver higher and more consistent spin, which gives you better control around the greens.
These wedges come standard with the N.S. PRO 950GH neo steel shaft. It has a smooth feel and fits well for players comfortable with a shaft in the 95 gram range. Nippon has done a great job refining this shaft, and it continues to be a standout in the lightweight steel category.
The 950GH Neo is essentially an upgraded version of the original 950GH. The mid-section is a bit firmer and the tip is more responsive. That helps the ball launch slightly higher and adds a bit of extra spin, which pairs well with modern irons that have stronger lofts. Some players feel the original version swings a little smoother overall, while the Neo has a quicker, more active feel near the tip. Nippon also used technology from their MODUS³ line, including multi-heat treatment and multi-shape adjustments, to refine both feel and performance.

Vokey Forged Grinds: Tailored for Your Game
The New Vokey Forged Wedge offers a selection of grinds, each designed to complement different swing styles and course conditions:
F Grind: This is an all-around design, perfect for full shots with a square face. It’s ideal for players who prefer a traditional sole shape.
K Grind: Featuring the largest bounce, the K Grind excels in bunkers. Its wide, thick sole provides high forgiveness and excellent stability in soft sand and turf.
M Grind: A personal favorite of Bob Vokey himself, the M Grind is recommended for players who like to open and close the face for versatile shots. It pairs exceptionally well with a shallow, sweeping swing.
B Grind: This versatile grind features relief in the heel, toe, and trailing edge. With a flatter sole than the M Grind, it’s particularly suited for players seeking precision on firmer lies.
