Just months after getting his PGA Tour card back, Grayson Murray has already found the winner’s circle.
Murray, a 30-year-old journeyman from Raleigh, N.C., won early in his tour career back at the 2017 Barbasol Championship but saw his performance crater in the years that followed. He regained confidence in 2023 with two victories on the Korn Ferry Tour, securing full PGA Tour membership for 2024.
It didn’t take long for him to find success in 2024. Murray won the Sony Open yesterday in a three-man playoff over Keegan Bradley and Byeong Hun An. The victory puts him up to No. 46 in the Official World Golf Ranking, the best mark of his career. Murray is now exempt into the Masters, PGA Championship and all the remaining signature events on tour for the rest of the season.
