I Gave Up On Magnetic Golf Towels. This Thing’s Smarter.

I was all‑in on the convenience of a magnetic golf towel. Until mine vanished after just three rounds. Either the cart shook it loose or someone decided it would look better on their bag. I almost swore off magnetic towels until I found the Stripebird Magnetic Towel Clip.

What is the Stripebird Magnetic Towel Clip?

The Stripebird Clip is a small, clip‑on housing that hides two super‑strong neodymium magnets. The magnets are powerful enough to cling to your cart frame, a clubhead or the optional Stripebird Golf Hub that mounts on your bag.

The Clip isn’t a towel itself. You can use any towel you like. Anything from cheap microfiber cloth to an oversized caddy towel will fit. All you have to do is fold the towel into the jaws of the clip, snap them shut and it doesn’t budge.

Stripebird offers the Clip in six colors: Stealth Black, Fairway Green, Major Red, Royal Blue, Cool Gray and White. It’s easy to find something that matches your setup.

One of my favorite benefits of the Stripebird Magnetic Towel Clip is that when the towel gets dirty, you pop it out and throw it in the wash. There are no grommets or hooks to deal with in your washing machine.

Why I like the Clip better than built‑in magnetic towels

I’ve had the Stripebird Magnetic Towel Clip on my bag for over a year so it’s made it much further than the original magnetic towel I had briefly. Here are a few reasons why I think it’s better.

It actually stays put. After 50‑plus rounds, the Clip hasn’t slipped or fallen once, even on rough cart paths. Pick any towel. Big, small, cotton, microfiber … pick the towel you need for the course conditions you are playing. Bag or cart friendly. I keep the Stripebird Clip on my golf bag but you can stick it to the cart frame if you prefer. Easy wash‑and‑swap. Dirty towel? Unclip, wash, reclip. No special hardware. Because the Clip provides the magnet, your towel doesn’t need a loop or ring.

The only downside I found

The only real issue I have found with this towel clip is the color. The brighter colors fade over time. If you play a lot of golf, it’s going to fade.

Final thoughts

If your favorite towel doesn’t have a hook or isn’t magnetic, give the Stripebird Magnetic Towel Clip a try. I’m glad I did.
