Malbon Is At It Again, This Time With Jimmy Choo

Malbon Is At It Again, This Time With Jimmy Choo

After making waves at the Masters thanks to an oft-photographed and much talked-about sweater vest donned by Jason Day, Malbon is getting right back to it with another collaboration that is sure to get people talking. This time, they’re teaming up with Jimmy Choo, the irreverent brand behind some of fashion’s most glamorous styles and most well-known footwear.

Throughout the collection, Malbon’s signature Buckets logo gets an upgrade thanks to the embroidered patches and encrusted crystals that define the Jimmy Choo look, blending it seamlessly with the embossed leather and JC monogram patterns.

The collection is, understandably, centered around footwear. Easy-wearing mules adorned with the aforementioned monogram patterns and flashy Buckets logo are the perfect companion for leisure time off the course, while the Diamond Golf trainers provide a golf-worthy take on Jimmy Choo’s signature diamond pattern by adding grooved outsoles for when competition heats up.

Along with the two pairs of shoes, a limited-edition high-spec golf bag, clubhead covers, a rangefinder cover and shoe bags with co-branded touches are the collaboration’s heavy hitters, while caps, bucket hats and golf towels round out the assortment.

Based on what we know about Malbon and their penchant for pairing golf and fashion, it’s no surprise that they linked up with Jimmy Choo. “Collaborating with a legendary shoe brand like Jimmy Choo to craft footwear that transitions from the golf course to fashion settings is a natural choice. This partnership aims to captivate both fashion and golf enthusiasts by merging our worlds seamlessly,” Malbon said.

Since the brand’s inception, Malbon has been doing just that: merging the fashion and golf worlds, pushing the limits on what golf style can be. Whether the larger golf community will be as pleased about this crossover to the fashion world as the Malbonites is yet to be seen, especially if we take its collective reaction to the Malbon vest at Augusta as any indication.

One thing is for sure: the Malbons are going to keep being themselves, pushing golf style in a new direction, whether the game’s traditionalists are ready for it or not.
