Still Worth It: 4 Used Fairway Woods You Can Grab For Under $150

Still Worth It: 4 Used Fairway Woods You Can Grab For Under $150

In 2025, new fairway woods are following in the footsteps of the latest drivers, at least when it comes to price, with many new models retailing for $350 or more. But don’t fret: there is some good news. Thanks to a strong used market, some of the best fairway woods from recent MyGolfSpy testing are now available used for less than $150.

The four picks below all appeared in our Most Wanted testing in either 2023 or 2024. They performed at a high level for distance, accuracy and forgiveness. Most importantly for thrifty golfers, they won’t wreck your gear budget. Let’s take a closer look.

Wilson Dynapower

Wilson Dynapower Fairway Wood

The Wilson Dynapower ranked first overall in our 2023 Most Wanted Fairway Wood test. It was second in accuracy, seventh in distance and inside the top 10 for ball speed. While forgiveness was just average, the performance from the fairway and off the tee makes it a standout.

Wilson continues to fly under the radar when it comes to woods which is part of the reason you can find this club used for under $130 in good condition and closer to $100 in average condition. For golfers who want premium performance without the brand-name markup, this is an easy recommendation.

COBRA LTDx

Cobra LTDx Fairway Way

The COBRA LTDx was the top-ranked fairway wood in 2022 and backed that up with a strong showing again in 2023, where it finished fourth overall. It ranked fourth in accuracy, 10th in distance and 12th in forgiveness. It’s a very balanced option.

Used LTDx fairway woods in good condition typically run around $145 but you can find average-condition models dipping into the $100–$120 range.

TaylorMade Stealth 2

TaylorMade Stealth 2 HD Fairway Wood

The Stealth 2 fairway wood, tested in 2023, was the best fairway wood for distance. It wasn’t quite as strong in accuracy or forgiveness but it was among the top three for ball speed. If you’re looking to pick up a few extra yards, this club delivers.

Originally priced around $349, you can now find used Stealth 2 fairway woods in average condition for around $140. For the player who prioritizes distance and wants something modern-looking and confidence-inspiring, the Stealth 2 is worth a look.

COBRA Darkspeed X

The Darkspeed X appeared in the 2024 MyGolfSpy Best Fairway Wood test and finished inside the top 10 overall and was second for distance. The thing to be aware of here is consistency. It won’t be the most consistent fairway wood you test.

Used pricing for the Darkspeed X is already starting to drop with some average-condition models now showing up in the $140 to $150 range. For a close to current-generation fairway wood with proven testing results, that’s a strong value.

Final thoughts

Used fairway woods can be one of the best values in golf equipment, especially if you know which models tested well. With prices on new equipment continuing to rise, it’s worth looking just a year or two back. These four clubs offer a combination of performance, availability and price that’s hard to beat.
