TaylorMade TP5 Pix Peppers: Because Apparently Your Game Needs More Heat
What’s the connection between peppers and golf? Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe it’s something about bringing heat to your short game? Perhaps it’s a metaphor for the burning sensation you feel when you chunk a wedge shot? Or someone at TaylorMade just really likes peppers and thought, “You know what golf needs? More vegetables.”
Whatever the reasoning, I suppose I’m fine with the TaylorMade Limited Edition TP5 pix Peppers golf balls. Golf has always been a sport that takes itself a bit too seriously, so why not put a habanero on your golf ball and call it a day?

When life gives you peppers, make… golf balls?
The TP5 and TP5x pix Peppers golf balls are adorned with every variety of capsicum you can imagine, from sweet bell peppers for the golfers who order their chicken wings mild (and probably boneless) to ghost peppers for the masochists who think a triple bogey isn’t punishment enough.
According to TaylorMade , nothing will add mouth-watering flavor to your game quite like these new TP5 and TP5x pix Peppers golf balls.
Sure. Let’s go with that.
Whether you’re partial to mild, even sweet peppers or prefer them so hot they turn your face red (much like my scorecard already does), these balls are adorned with a flavor for everyone.

As with other limited edition ball offerings, the typical player number has been replaced – this time with a fire-red warning sign.
Fun.
Packaging that’s spicier than your swing
As with all of TaylorMade’s limited-edition offerings, the packaging deserves some attention. Each individual sleeve is marked with spicy text designed to look like it was pasted from your favorite hot sauce bottle. The dozen boxes are garnished with, well, peppers.
The boxes are vibrant, eye-catching, and delightfully spicy.

The inevitable upcharge
Of course, TaylorMade’s visual technology comes with visual technology pricing. At $64.99 per dozen, these peppers cost more than a decent dinner at your local Mexican restaurant. But hey, at least the golf balls won’t give you heartburn… probably.
The bottom line
Will the TP5 pix Peppers make you a better golfer? Probably not, but they might make you a more interesting one. And in a sport where standing out often means wearing slightly louder pants, sometimes a pepper-covered golf ball is exactly what you need.

Remember, these are limited edition, which means they’ll likely sell out faster than you can say “ghost pepper.” TaylorMade’s limited often sell-out quickly, so if you’re feeling the heat, you’d better act fast.
I’m holding out for the next vegetable-themed ball. Might I suggest mashed potatoes?
TaylorMade Limited Edition TP5 pix Peppers golf balls are available now in both TP5 and TP5x versions.
