The Most Overlooked Hybrids In 2025 Testing
If you’re looking for a new hybrid in 2025, you may already know the Cobra DS-Adapt is the overall winner in MyGolfSpy’s Most Wanted Hybrid Test. However, sometimes in that space between second place and 10 place, some golf hybrids get overlooked. If the top pick of 2025 isn’t quite right for you, here are three overlooked hybrids worth your attention.
Orka RSX

The Orka RSX led the test in forgiveness with a score of 9.0, the highest of any model. Testers praised its ability to keep carry distances more consistent and dispersion patterns tighter than expected, especially for a lesser-known brand. Priced at around $200, it also undercuts many premium hybrids.
Some testers said it felt shorter than most other clubs in the test and that accuracy wasn’t its strongest trait but nearly all agreed it was one of the safest bets for players struggling with mishits.

Srixon ZXi

The Srixon ZXi posted an overall score of 8.7, highlighted by excellent launch, peak height and descent angle that made it a favorite for players wanting a green-holding hybrid. It averaged around 179 yards of carry with backspin in the 3,600-rpm range. If you want a hybrid that will stop on the green, it’s a good choice.
Some testers said it wasn’t as forgiving as others and that its total distance numbers didn’t pop, but many felt it was one of the most versatile options in the lineup. The Srixon irons had another strong year in testing and this is a hybrid option to pair them with.

Callaway Elyte X

The Callaway Elyte X quietly finished third overall with a score of 8.7, ranking second in both distance and accuracy. Testers noted it produced some of the fastest ball speeds and longest carries while still landing in tighter dispersions than most. The adjustable hosel and weighting provide additional fitting versatility.
Some testers said mishits were punished more than with other models and a few noted the $299 price is steep compared to value picks but, when struck well, it delivered some of the best numbers in the test.
