There’s no denying the buzzword that is AI (artificial intelligence). Both inside and outside of golf, AI has taken over meeting rooms, research labs, even our smartphones.
It’s not lost on me the impact that AI is having, specifically on golf clubs. I’m a big fan of the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Driver and there are plenty of other clubs this year whose tech stories center around artificial intelligence.
In that sense, AI can be helpful. I’m hitting better drives than ever with my new Callaway driver. That said, AI has started to creep into our search engines, namely Google. This new feature from Google is doing more to hurt your golf game than help it.
In a world where it’s already hard to trust the information that’s so readily available to us, Google’s new AI search feature is making it harder to find the truth.
Let me explain.

What We Tried:
FootJoy Tour Alpha Carbon Triple BOA is FootJoy’s absurdly stable modern Tour shoe with Carbitex OmniFlex carbon fiber and a triple BOA Fit system.

Tony Covey. MyGolfSpy’s resident BOA advocate. Shoelaces were invented 5,500+ years ago. I think we can do better, people. Laces are for suckers.
About the FootJoy Tour Alpha Carbon Triple BOA
It’s not a stretch to describe the Tour Alpha Carbon Triple BOA as the most technologically advanced shoe in the FootJoy lineup. While it’s not billed as such, what we’re talking about is a killer collab: FootJoy x Carbitex x BOA.
It kinda feels like all we’re missing is a Malbon logo.
With that, you get a robust assortment of FootJoy tech, including:

What We Tried:
The Stewart Nero cart bag, a golf bag designed for use with the company’s remote carts like the Q Follow and VERTX Remote.
Who Tried It:
John Kennedy, who does not own one of those fancy remote carts and did his best with what he does have (arms).
Quick Facts
Price: $299Material: Synthetic leatherWeight: 7.5 pounds Dividers: 14Pockets: 9 to 12, depending on what you consider a pocketBrief Overview
Stewart’s Nero cart bag will likely be more appealing if you already have—or are planning to buy—one of Stewart’s remote carts. Their overall aesthetics complement each other and the company’s product page suggests they are a “perfect” match.
If you don’t have one, you’ll have to decide how it matches up with the best cart bags currently available. Compared to the ones on our list, it’s in the middle of the pack for price and weight.
What I Liked
Materials and Construction
The Nero bag’s exterior is primarily all-black “tour-grade” synthetic leather. You, like me, are probably familiar with the implication that this means it’s the same kind of stuff a pro would use on the PGA Tour. But it turns out there’s no standard definition for the term and the actual quality of “tour-grade” material can vary widely across brands.

Today, we are going to dive into the mailbag and answer some of your questions about L.A.B. Golf. L.A.B. Golf is one of the hottest putter companies these days, both on pro tours and at your local course. Every week, you are seeing more L.A.B. Golf putters in professional and amateur bags.
Why are L.A.B. Golf putters such a hot commodity these days?
Let’s explore the phenomenon that is L.A.B. Golf.
Q: Can you please explain Lie Angle Balancing to me like I’m a 10-year old?
Lie Angle Balancing is all about how the putter moves during your putting stroke. L.A.B. Golf’s Revealer, shown in the video above, demonstrates how traditional putters will twist during the putting stroke. L.A.B. Golf putters stay stable, not rotating at all as they are swung.
This lack of rotation eliminates the opening and closing of the putter face relative to the path during your stroke, allowing the putter to naturally return to square at impact.

Since 1999, All Kids Golf Clubs has been making it easy for kids of all ages to get into golf with equipment that actually suits their needs.
An early adopter of e-commerce, the founders got their start selling custom youth golf sets online after noticing a void in the market. They thought, rightly so, that kids deserved more than an old set of cutdown adult clubs so they took it upon themselves to make it right.
Turns out, kids just needed someone in their corner. After six years, All Kids Golf had custom built more than 40,000 golf clubs. Fast forward to today and All Kids Golf is the biggest junior golf retailer in the U.S.
A Head-to-Toe Golf Store For Kids
They’re not doing custom clubs any more but that’s not a bad thing. Twenty-five years on from the retailer’s inception, the golf world has progressed far enough that All Kids has plenty of brands to work with from kid-focused brands like Fore! Golf to up-and-coming equipment brands like Stix Golf, not to mention a bevy of options from industry mainstays like Callaway and COBRA. One trip to their website reveals their expansive brand selection.
Not only do they feature a ton of quality brands but they have enough variety to outfit kids of all ages and all skill levels. Prices for clubs run the gamut from affordable plastic sets for the youngest of golf prodigies to $500+ COBRA Darkspeed drivers that will take your middle schooler to the next level.

Today marks one year since the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund entered into a framework agreement that stunned the golf world.
It was a jarring development that blindsided most of golf’s key stakeholders. The sight of Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan sitting next to PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan during a TV hit for CNBC felt like a fever dream.
Immediately, grand conclusions and rash generalizations were being made—and justifiably so, given that a partnership between these bitter rivals seemed inconceivable.
“The Saudis own professional golf now,” thousands posted on social media.
The framework agreement, which was erroneously touted as a “merger” during the initial rollout, promised a reunification of the professional game. LIV Golf, which is bankrolled by the PIF, appeared destined to dissolve, as most concluded the game’s best would reunite in one place that already enjoyed infrastructure and corporate sponsorship stability. The original framework agreement said that an “empirical data-driven evaluation” would be conducted to determine LIV’s future and that Monahan “will determine the ongoing plan and strategy.”
Before we approached the first tee at Pinehurst No. 2, I asked to make a quick pit stop.
I didn’t need to go to the bathroom. I didn’t need to buy a box of balls from the clubhouse—though they definitely would have come in handy that day. I wanted to take a picture.
With putter in hand, I balanced on my left leg, leaned forward and thrust my right fist proudly into the air.
“Kick your back leg up and out a little bit more,” my photographer instructed as he snapped away.
Too stiff from a recent knee injury on this brisk winter morning, I did the best I could to replicate the iconic celebratory pose from 1999 U.S. Open champion Payne Stewart immortalized in bronze approximately 50 yards off the 18th green at Pinehurst No. 2.
