Sun Day Red Sure Looks Good in Carolina Blue

Tiger Woods’ signature brand is going all out for the PGA Championship.

Introducing the Carolina Collection from Sun Day Red. In addition to a host of blue-hued polos, the brand has teamed up with luxury bag maker Vessel for a range of custom Carolina-themed accessories, including bags and headcovers.

The Carolina Collection drops just in time to celebrate the upcoming PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. I’m digging the color palette. It’s subtle and sophisticated. Like Sun Day Red did for the Masters, the Carolina Collection is one of the more understated drops out there.

But that’s the point. Let the premium materials talk: no huge logos, over-the-top designs, or colors.

You can shop the Carolina Collection now at Sun Day Red.

The Full “Mizuno Experience” for $150? Sign Me Up!

The catchphrase “Nothing feels like a Mizuno” is, in part, a marketing hashtag. It is also, in part, the battle cry of Mizuno loyalists everywhere. At some point during any round, the guy with a JPX anything in his bag will pure one, look at the rest of group, smirk a little and let you into his world.

“Nothing feels like a Mizuno.”

We know, dude. We know.

It stands to reason, then, that if nothing feels like a Mizuno, then nothing should feel like the “Mizuno Experience.” If MyGolfSpy’s recent tour of the new Mizuno Research and Performance Development Center, a.k.a. The Foundry, is any indication, the good folks in Atlanta might be on to something.

Welcome to The Foundry

Mizuno’s The Foundry is the company’s brand-new custom fitting and R&D center. It opened last month and is located about an hour north of Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on the grounds of The Standard Club, a stunning private course in Johns Creek, Georgia.

We Thought This Golf Glove Was A Joke … Then It Nearly Won

Let’s face it. There is some novelty in the game of golf. You have to laugh and smile sometimes and chances are you own a head cover, ball marker or hat that shows off the edgier side of the game. When we started our 2025 Best Golf Glove testing, the TravisMathew Between the Lines 2.0 — with “Birdie” written across the middle finger and “Cash Please” embossed into the palm — hardly looked like it would be a serious contender for the top spot. Then it almost won.

TravisMathew Between the Lines 2.0

In our 2025 Most Wanted Golf Glove testing, the TravisMathew Between the Lines 2.0 captured Best Premium Glove honors and finished fourth overall out of more than 60 gloves tested.

It scored an impressive 9.7 rating, just a fraction behind some of the biggest names in the industry such as PXG, PING and FootJoy.

Where it shines

The TravisMathew Between the Lines 2.0 scored high across all of our testing categories.

Fit: A near-perfect 98-percent fit rating with testers praising how comfortably and naturally it wrapped the hand.Comfort: Despite its bold design, it delivered a strong 94.5-percent comfort score.Feel and Grip: The premium Cabretta leather provided testers with an excellent feel and a reliable grip. Golfers felt like they had full confidence throughout the swing.

Beyond the performance numbers, testers consistently noted that the glove felt lightweight, flexible and breathable. The Between the Lines 2.0 glove features finger perforations and a soft, high-quality leather construction. One tester summed it up perfectly:

A Simple Driver Setup Adjustment That Feels Like a Cheat for Longer Drives

I stumbled across this video from MeandMyGolf on YouTube. It’s a couple of months old, but it’s packed with great advice if you’re looking to hit longer drives without buying a new club. This is a live lesson, which for me makes it even better. You’re not watching a polished swing. You’re seeing real-time instruction with measurable results on an average golfer. The golfer in this video added 15 yards of carry and saw a significant improvement in launch height and consistency, all thanks to a setup adjustment.

What was the problem?

The golfer in the video was hitting low right misses and struggling with inconsistent ball flight.

Before the adjustment, the golfer had:

Ball position too far back in the stance, pretty much in the centerA descending angle of attack, more like an iron than a driverLow launch height (average of 44 feet)Right-side misses caused by the steep path and open face

He was making decent contact, but he was completely unaware of his ball position. He’s not the only one! The setup that he had was destined to fail before he even took the club back.

How was it fixed?

Two main fixes happened during the lesson. The first was moving the ball position forward. Using alignment sticks to set up a practice station is a good idea.

Rangefinder Accessories You Didn’t Know You Needed

I’ll admit it. Until I started looking around online, I never gave much thought to accessories for my rangefinder. I would venture to guess that you haven’t much to this point either. However, there is some cool stuff out there to make your experience both easier and more convenient while on the course. Check out the items below to see what could enhance your rangefinder game!

Lopar Waxed Canvas Rangefinder Case

The waxed canvas case from Lopar is 100% waterproof and designed with a clean finish to match any rangefinder. Featuring EZYGrab access makes grabbing your rangefinder in a moment’s notice a breeze with embedded magnet fastenings. There is also an internal pocket for an extra battery or usb cord in case you need a replacement or re-charge mid round.

Stripebird 2.0 Slim Golf Rangefinder Magnetic Strap

Now I know what you’re thinking, “my rangefinder has a built-in magnet, I don’t need this.” And if that’s the case, great! However, not all rangefinders are created equal. If you’re strapped for cash and can’t spend $250 or more on a new rangefinder and are wanting a magnetic mount, this does the trick. The slim, form fitting strap prevents unwanted bulk and ultra-strong magnets ensure a secure hold.

Golf Bag Metal Landing Pads

Add this to the list of accessories I should have known existed but didn’t! If you get tired of fumbling with a pocket on your bag while walking rounds to grab your rangefinder, this metal landing pad is for you. Simply slide the clip over the top of your golf bag and voila – you’ve got an external attachment area. Easy external access for quick yardages whenever you need them.

Palm Golf Co. Utility Bag

This utility bag from Palm Golf Co. features a pocket large enough to fit your phone and rangefinder in secure fleece-lined pockets. On the front you’ll find a Velcro pouch to store your divot tool and ball markers, saving you time from digging around in your bag to find one. A top mounted carabiner loop makes attaching this pouch to your bag simple and accessible.

Every Driver That’s Won on Tour in 2025

The 2025 PGA Tour season is four months in. We’ve analyzed every winning driver on the Tour this year, breaking down which brands dominated, along with shaft selections, loft choices, and other key factors. Here’s a detailed look at every driver that’s won on Tour in 2025.

Titleist Drivers (6 Total Wins – 32% of All Wins)

Titleist dominated the early 2025 PGA Tour season, earning six wins, the most by any single brand. Titleist’s driver lineup, particularly the new GT series (GT2 and GT3), proved especially popular, along with the trusted TSi and TSR series.

The Titleist GT2 was the fifth-best driver of 2025 in the Most Wanted Driver testing. Its distance performance helped. The GT2 is the longest driver of 2025, with the GT4 and GT3 not far behind.

Ping Wins (5 Total Wins – 26% of All Wins)

PING drivers have captured 5 of the first 19 PGA Tour events in 2025. What’s most interesting about the PING lineup is that you’ll find the G425, G430, and G440 drivers mixed in. There are still several players on TOUR who have yet to transition to the G440, with many keeping the G430 LST in play.

The G430 Max 10K, which helped Ben Griffin win the Zurich, was the best driver of 2024 in our testing and still earned a runner-up finish when it was retested in 2025. It’s a top performer on Tour and for amateur players.

The Best Putter on the PGA Tour Is Using a Flatstick That Costs Less Than $130

Putting is the great equalizer in golf. You don’t need 190 mph ball speed or a 320-yard drive to be the best with the putter. What you need is consistency, feel, and the right gear. And right now, no one on the PGA Tour is putting better than Nico Echavarria. Echavarria is a 30-year-old from Colombia who’s quietly climbed to the top of the strokes gained putting rankings. The good news for you is that he’s doing it with a putter you can buy for under $130.

Nico Echavarria’s PGA Tour putting performance

Echavarría is a two-time PGA Tour winner, with victories in 2023 and 2024. In 12 starts this season, he’s recorded a runner-up finish, a top 10, two top-25s, and earned over $1.5 million.

But the real story is on the greens, he leads the Tour in strokes gained putting, averaging +0.907 per round and totaling +28.104 over 31 measured rounds. He’s doing it with a putter you can buy used for under $130: the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K Seven.

What you should know about the Tri-Hot 5K Seven

The Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K Seven was originally released with a retail price of $399.99, but you can now find it used for under $130.

When it first hit the market in 2023, the big story was that Odyssey brought its multi-material “5K” technology to mallets. Up until then, the Tri-Hot 5K line was reserved for blades. With the addition of the Seven and Rossie mallets, players finally had access to Odyssey’s high-MOI tech in more forgiving, familiar shapes.

Your Dream Bag on a Dime: The Ultimate Guide to Building a Killer Used Golf Club Set

Buying used golf clubs is one of the smartest ways to build your dream bag without breaking the bank. But it’s also a project that requires some strategy. Here are our best tips for building a used golf club set you’ll be proud to bring to the first tee.

Don’t be fooled by clean clubs, check the grooves

A sky mark on a driver is nothing compared to grooves on a wedge that are completely worn down. Irons and wedges don’t last forever. If you are purchasing clubs from someone who has played a ton of golf, chances are the grooves are probably kind of shot.

Run your finger across the grooves if you can. If they are shallow in the middle with deep edges on the side, it’s not worth your money. Anything that’s a few years old and played regularly will not have the same spin performance as a newer club would have.

Worn grooves directly impact your ability to score.

The shaft can ruin a “Deal”

Don’t overlook the shaft. It’s where most of the dangerous damage hides. Since replacing a shaft can cost as much as the club, it’s probably not worth the money.

Spiked vs. Spikeless Golf Shoes: Myths Golfers Still Believe in 2025

Golfers love a good debate, blades vs. cavity backs, walking vs. riding, and yes, spiked vs. spikeless shoes. Despite major advancements in both categories, a few outdated beliefs are still hanging around. Here are the biggest spiked vs. spikeless shoe myths golfers still believe in 2025.

Myth 1: Spikeless shoes can’t provide enough traction for serious golfers

This may have been true a decade ago. Not anymore. Modern spikeless shoes feature advanced outsole designs with multi-directional lugs, engineered rubber compounds, and targeted traction zones. Some even outperform spiked models.

Our best spikeless shoe of 2025, the PAYNTR All Day SC, boasts some of the best traction we’ve seen across both spiked and spikeless golf shoes.

Myth 2: Spiked golf shoes are uncomfortable

Comfort depends more on the overall construction of the shoe than whether it has spikes. Today’s spiked shoes are built with the same lightweight cushioning, knit uppers, and flexible materials as their spikeless counterparts.

In our 2025 shoe testing, the Skechers Go Golf Elite Vortex Rival earned the spot for the most comfortable shoe. They are also one of the best golf shoes for the money in the spiked test.

lululemon’s Best Deals are Hidden in Plain Site

I’ll bet you didn’t know that lululemon has a sister-site, lululemon Like New, where they sell gently used clothing at a discounted rate.

I’ll bet you you also didn’t know that as apart of their Like New site, they have a section entitled “Hidden Gems” which is full of not-so secret scores on lululemon gear. The only catch? The products are generally a little older, or at the very least, can’t be identified by name/nomenclature.

So, where you’d typically buy a pair of lululemon ABC pants, the Hidden Gems section may have a pair of “casual trousers” for sale.

In any case, the nomenclature doesn’t matter. What DOES matter is that the Hidden Gems section of lululemon Like New is full of great finds one one of my favorite apparel brands in the world.

If you feel like perusing the section at all, be my guest. But the easiest way to find deals suited for you is using their Hidden Gems quiz.
