If you’re looking for a new hybrid in 2025, you may already know the Cobra DS-Adapt is the overall winner in MyGolfSpy’s Most Wanted Hybrid Test. However, sometimes in that space between second place and 10 place, some golf hybrids get overlooked. If the top pick of 2025 isn’t quite right for you, here are three overlooked hybrids worth your attention.
Orka RSX
Some testers said it felt shorter than most other clubs in the test and that accuracy wasn’t its strongest trait but nearly all agreed it was one of the safest bets for players struggling with mishits.
What we liked:
Best forgiveness score in the test (9.0)
Budget-friendly compared to competitors priced at $299-plus
What we didn’t like:
Carry distance well below the leaders
Accuracy numbers didn’t keep up with the top tier
Srixon ZXi
Some testers said it wasn’t as forgiving as others and that its total distance numbers didn’t pop, but many felt it was one of the most versatile options in the lineup. The Srixon irons had another strong year in testing and this is a hybrid option to pair them with.
What we liked:
Strong peak height and descent angle for holding greens
Balanced carry distance (~179 yds) with playable spin (~3,619 rpm)
What we didn’t like:
Less forgiving on off-center hits than category leaders
Distance lags behind top performers
Callaway Elyte X
Some testers said mishits were punished more than with other models and a few noted the $299 price is steep compared to value picks but, when struck well, it delivered some of the best numbers in the test.
What we liked:
Second-best in distance and accuracy categories
Adjustable hosel plus weighting for tuning flight and feel
What we didn’t like:
Mishits showed bigger drop-offs than more forgiving models
Premium price tag compared to budget-friendly hybrids
