The VICE Golf Brand
Have you ever found yourself not vibing with any golf brand in the industry? Maybe their style just doesn’t cut it for you?
VICE Golf saw a huge opportunity for a fresh vibe golf brand to fill that space. They went for that space with a vengeance.
When looking back to when VICE Golf broke into the golf industry, it was thanks to their golf ball. Their combination of performance quality and logo vibed with the young executive golfer. It performed well in MyGolfSpy testing and their brand took off. They came out with a couple of high-performing cheeky numbers like a premium glove and golf bag.
Now, VICE Golf has an abundance of golf balls, accessories, apparel and limited-edition goodies. And they have a new collection of golf bags. We’re going to focus on the Vice Force bag and see how well it performs.
Initial Thoughts on the VICE Force Golf Bag
The Force Stand Bag comes with six-way divider which includes full-length compartment divisions, flexible adjustable shoulder straps and a new pocket/sleek design. What stood out to me is its popping colors and unique style. The VICE Force neon grey color turns heads.
I love a golf bag that holds its shape which doesn’t fold because of bad design or flimsy material. The Vice Force stand bag holds it shape. It’s a perfect combination of performance and style. When you get up close and personal with the bag, you get to see the small details that Vice included in their new design. For instance, the strap cord which attaches the soft padding double straps to the bag have the wording “Vice Golf” woven into them. A really nice touch and excellent branding.
VICE Force Golf Bag Pocket System
After examining golf bags for five years, in my opinion one of the most important features of a golf bag is the pocket system.
I have found golf bags with 15 pockets. That sounds great but, when it comes to practicality, only five of them worked efficiently. Why? A bag with a lot of pockets only has a certain amount of space and more than likely some pockets protrude into others, making them unusable.
In the case of the VICE Force golf bag, the pockets itself keep their shape without imploding in on themselves. This is created by using a stiffer material as well as a “frame” system to hold the pocket in place. The overall bag construction is not waterproof but good enough for showers.
The magnetic rangefinder pocket is a nice touch and is easy to open and close.
VICE Stand Bag Dividers
Who hates dividers that snag your clubs? Everyone.
Whether you have a four-, five or even 14-way divider system, they all seem to snag. Oversized grips don’t help but there is a way to minimize the snagging. Having tight individual liners helps prevent clubs from crossing and snagging. The VICE Force Golf Bag has a well-designed divider system with full-length individual liner compartments which help prevent snagging.
Extra Important Features
When looking a stand bag, there are a couple of main features to focus on. The first part is having good straps. This bag’s straps dig into your side. having said that, the shoulder straps with extra padding conform to your body. The second feature is the stand system. The Force has a better/good stand system.
Final Thoughts on The VICE Force Golf Bag
I think the VICE Force Golf Bag is an ideal carry bag. Does it have all the bells and whistles? No, but it does have enough to contend in a Most Wanted golf bag test.
Where I think they can improve is the zippers. They could be extended on the large side pocket by six inches which would allow easier access into the bag. The two water bottle holders seem to be an afterthought. Another negative is that the double straps dig into your side when carrying.
Don’t get me wrong, I think the VICE Force golf bag performs well and the color schemes are eye-catching. If you like a good-performing bag with some personality, the VICE Force golf bag is worth considering.
