COBRA Re-releases 3D Printed LIMIT3D Irons
Filed under Predictable Things, COBRA has re-released a limited run of its 3D-printed LIMIT3D irons.
The original run was limited to 500 individually numbered sets. According to COBRA, despite the $3000 price tag, the original batch sold out within hours.
The fresh batch won’t be numbered.
Why 3D Printed
You’ll find a full rundown of the irons and the technology that powers them here, but the key takeaway is that 3D printing allows for the creation of complex structures that are simply not possible with conventional manufacturing methods like forging, casting, and even milling.
The internal lattice structures of the LIMIT3D irons allow for a full third of the clubhead’s weight to be repositioned to areas where it can improve performance.

adidas CODECHAOS 25: Peace Was Never an Option
Imagine, just for a second, a world with no noise. No distractions. Complete peace.
Sounds enticing, doesn’t it? Perhaps for a few minutes, it would be relaxing. But after a bit, it would start to get boring.
There’s nothing quite like the cry of a newborn baby. The roar of a raucous crowd. A theme park packed with screaming riders. Sometimes, it takes a little chaos to fully experience the highs and lows that make life so extraordinary.
Golf is the same. There’s a place for peace and quiet on the golf course. Golf’s most defining moments often start with complete silence. But it’s not the silence before Tiger’s putt to force a playoff at the 2008 U.S. Open that people remember. It’s the primal roar from both Woods and the crowd that lives forever.
Golf is better when there’s chaos. That’s ultimately the idea behind adidas’ flagship spikeless golf shoe, the CODECHAOS 25. An extension to my favorite franchise in golf footwear, the new CODECHAOS 25 is, among other things, “impossible to ignore.”

I’ll Admit It: Olympic Golf Is Growing On Me
I’ve long been a skeptic of Olympic golf.
Maybe it’s because the format strangely has no team element, or because the top players were slow to embrace the tournament. Or, as straightforward as this is, maybe Olympic golf is just new. The majors have ample history; Olympic golf lacks some of that context.
But after watching Sunday’s epic final round in Paris, I have to admit I’m reassessing my view that the tournament is on par with a second-tier PGA Tour event.
Will it ever be at the level of a major? Probably not. Still, I’m thinking Olympic golf might be on a trajectory to zoom past the FedEx Cup, Presidents Cup and even a few coveted Tour stops.
Here are five reasons why I’m reconsidering my stance.

With recent releases leaving modern golf fans divided and traditionalists in a tizzy, you can’t deny that Malbon moves the needle. In July, Malbon announced that their newest collab will be with the oldest licensed distillery in Northern Ireland.
Yes, you read that last sentence right: a distillery. And not just any whiskey factory.

Forum Member Review: Vice Golf Balls
Vice Golf, a German direct-to-consumer brand, is known for its high-quality, affordable and colorful golf balls. The 2024 Vice Golf ball lineup includes updated versions of their popular models and a new model: Vice Pro Plus, Vice Pro, Vice Pro Air, Vice Tour and Vice Drive. The MyGolfSpy Forum organized a full lineup testing opportunity which involved 10 testers who evaluated these new offerings from Vice. Each selected member would test a specific golf ball, meaning we would have two testers for each model of Vice golf ball.
Key highlights
Vice Pro Plus: High spin rates, excellent distance, above-average durable cover. Best for high swing speeds and those seeking performance and value. Vice Pro: Superior control and feel, especially in the short game. High spin rates and improved durability.Vice Pro Air: Stable in windy conditions, balanced spin and consistent performance. Impressive soft feel. A great addition to the Vice lineup. Vice Tour: Consistent and reliable for mid-handicap players. Balanced performance and great value for a non-urethane cover golf ball.Vice Drive: Durable and forgiving, ideal for beginners and high-handicap players. Emphasizes value and longevity.Continue reading for a full breakdown of all the new Vice golf balls.
First impressions
The initial impressions of the testers highlighted significant improvements in the design and feel of the 2024 Vice Golf balls. The new finishes and sleek designs were particularly well received. The Pro and Pro Plus models retained their premium look while the Pro Air introduced an aesthetic that stood out. The packaging also impressed the testers with its high-quality, professional appearance that hinted at the premium performance of the balls inside.
What testers said: Spin
Vice Pro Plus
The Pro Plus model exhibited high spin rates, especially with short irons and wedges. This increased spin translated to better control and stopping power on the greens, making it an excellent choice for approach shots. Our high swing speed tester storm319 found the Pro Plus allowed him to impart significant backspin, enhancing his ability to hold the ball on the green. Tester hands39 noted, “The higher apex and spin were noticeable with my longer irons.”
Vice Pro
The Pro model offered even higher spin rates than the Pro Plus which was evident in approach shots and around the greens. This model provided excellent control, allowing players to execute precise shots with confidence. The high spin rates made the Pro ideal for players who prioritize accuracy and control over sheer distance. Tester 3putt4double said, “The spin rates with wedges were excellent, providing great stopping power.”

Our 5 Favorite Golf Ball Designs
You already know from our extensive testing here at MyGolfSpy that we are serious about finding the best and brightest when it comes to absolutely everything golf, including golf balls. While performance and data will always be at the heart of what we do, color and design are in the eye of the beholder.
Every golfer has a preference when it comes to ball color and if you find yourself straying away from the classic white, your options have never looked this good!
These are our five favorite golf ball designs.*
*No particular order
1. Vice Shade
One of the more understated designs on this list, the Vice Shade features a gentle gradient between two different colors. Available on the Pro and Pro Plus, I’ve really enjoyed playing these and have found them super-easy to spot in the rough. Look, y’all, we all wind up there from time to time ….

The Golf Side Hustle: It’s Harder Than It Looks
Have you ever dreamed of a golf side hustle?
Seriously, how much fun would it be to turn that great idea you’ve been kicking around into an honest-to-goodness money-making golf business?
Fun? Absolutely. But there’s also risk, angst, worry, uncertainty and the long hours of thankless hard work, with no guarantees anything will ever come of it.
MyGolfSpy recently spent time with several side hustle business owners. We discovered two common threads: a relentless, infectious enthusiasm for their businesses and an endless supply of energy and self-confidence to forge their ideas into reality.
Products aside, their stories are fascinating. Tiffany Eddy was a TV news anchor turned P.R. professional before starting her company. Jordan Yanni turned an off-hand, off-color remark on the golf course into a hat, and Zach Haber just wanted to go into business with his best friend since kindergarten.

I’ve Worn More Than 125 Golf Shoes: Here are Five I Won’t Wear Again
A few weeks ago, I wrote about my five favorite golf shoes. When you’ve tried as many as I have, it’s fairly easy to find a few that you gravitate towards. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are always a few that just don’t jive with your vibe.
Whatever the reason, there are just some golf shoes I can’t get along with. Call me a snob, sure, but when you’ve got a finite amount of closet space, certain shoes have to hit the donation pile.
Here are five golf shoes I won’t be wearing again.*
*This list reflects only my personal opinion, and is in no way related to Most Wanted shoe testing.
1. FootJoy Premiere Series
This may come as a shocker but I don’t find the FootJoy Premiere Series to be comfortable. While I absolutely love the way some of the limited stuff looks, it’s just too stiff to be something I’d wear on the course.

Why You’re Hooking Your Irons and How to Fix It
While many golfers fight a slice, there are plenty of us who struggle with a hook. And that can be even more trouble. As Lee Trevino once said, “You can talk to a fade but a hook just won’t listen.”
Believe it or not, the hook is generally accepted as a better miss than the slice because the theory is that you are closer to hitting straight iron shots than you may think.
Let’s take a look at why you’re hooking your irons and how to fix it.
Clubface too closed at impact
The angle of the clubface at impact will determine where your golf ball goes. If it’s closed, it goes left (for a right-hander).
The best players in the world have a square to slightly closed face at impact. Your problem is the face is just too closed for the ball to go straight.
