STITCH Upgrades Popular SL2 Golf Bag

Are you in the market for a new minimalist walking bag? Stitch just upgraded their classic SL2 bag. No, STITCH isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel here. But they did make some small changes to the new SL2 Gen 2 bag in order to make it more functional.

Here’s what you need to know about the new STITCH SL2 Gen 2 golf bag.

Upgraded Performance

I’ll be honest, STITCH golf bags are most known for their sleek designs and premium materials. Function, sometimes, can fall by the wayside. The SL2 Gen 2 aims to remedy that and bring things more into balance. STITCH added a few performance upgrades that should make the Gen 2 bag a better overall walking bag than its predecessor.

Namely, those include a larger full-length apparel pocket, magnetic ball pocket and wider stand system. Storage and stability are paramount to any top-performing golf bag and it’s nice to see STITCH taking these things seriously.

Like STITCH’s other offerings, the new SL2 Gen 2 is made from STITCH Touring Fabric, a material that provides the look and feel of leather with extra durability and abrasion resistance.

Testers Wanted: Titleist Vokey Wedges

The new Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges were released in March and have quickly become a popular addition to many golfers’ bags. Why? To answer that, we are looking for four golfers to test, review and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges.

About The Vokey SM10 Wedges

MyGolfSpy staff member Tony Covey has a complete breakdown of the new SM10 wedges here , which is a must-read, but the shorter version is that Vokey SM10 is focused on three key elements—versatility, distance control, trajectory—while maximizing spin. The Vokey SM10 lineup has a total of 25 loft, bounce and grind options.

This includes the M Grind that had previously only been available through WedgeWorks and T Grind that has made its way to the retail market. The other options that a golfer must choose are the finishes: tour chrome, jet black and the new nickel.

There’s more, though. The Vokey SM10 has refined the shape and CG placement to help optimize distance control and trajectory. This works in tandem with their spin-milled grooves that feature groove geometry that varies depending on the loft to maximize spin for each loft.

Titleist Wedge Selector Tool

Of course, all of this can be a lot to take in so Titleist offers an online Wedge Selector Tool to help simplify things. It is a series of eight questions which gather various information about your current setup and game to help make the best recommendation on what setup would be best for you. To try it yourself, go here!

To Enhance Performance Turn Outcome To Process in Golf

“Enjoy the process” – all of modern media

It seems like everyone in the media is talking about the “process” or the “journey” but few take time to explain what they truly mean by these terms.

So, let’s break it down.

Process in Golf vs Outcome in Golf

Let’s first start by understanding what the difference between process in golf and outcome is. The outcome is the end goal, what you dream of achieving. It is the results that you see. For example, your scoring average, or finish at a tournament.

The process in golf is the systems you have in place and the actions you take daily to get to your end goal. For example, developing a consistent pre-shot routine, or practicing putting 5 times a week.

Testers Wanted: Stix Golf Series

The golf industry keeps seeing the emergence of numerous new brands, each striving to carve out its own niche and distinguish itself from the competition. Stix is one such brand and we are pleased to welcome them to MyGolfSpy Forum member testing.

About Stix:

Stix was founded on the premise that quality golf clubs should be affordable and perform. Their minimalistic design approach is engineered to offer excellent quality, impressive aesthetics and performance.

They provide options for golfers to enter the game or upgrade their current sets, offering complete sets, drivers and woods, irons, wedges and putters. The Stix lineup covers the needs of many golfers from top to bottom while maintaining low prices and being much more affordable than larger brands.

What Is Being Tested?

All of this sounds promising—almost too good to be true. Therefore, we want to get their products into your hands to test, review and, best of all, keep them after testing.

We want to understand how Stix golf clubs compare against the clubs in your bags. What their performance from real golfers is and, ultimately, whether they are appropriate for golfers considering new clubs.
