Wilson Fit AI: The Next Leap Forward?

You could look at Wilson Fit AI as just an app to help you select golf clubs.

You’d be wrong.

You could also be fashionably cynical and say it’s just a gimmick. And you could act all dismissive and say since it’s from Wilson Golf, it’s irrelevant in golf equipment’s big picture.

And you’d be wrong on both of those counts, too.

It’s not often we see something that makes us go all wide-eyed and say, “Wait, it does what?”  But, friends, Wilson Fit AI is one of those things.

Work on Flexibility and Your Game will Work for YOU

We all have choices in life. As we age, we tend to slow down and take it easy before we die. Or you can put more effort into exercise to enjoy your aging years. Golf is an exercise, but your body needs a lot of upkeep to generate more success in your game. Get with the program. It’s up to you.

A 2009 study published in the International Journal of Sports Medicine determined that DYNAMIC STRETCHING exercise is significantly more important for your golf game than static stretching or no stretching at all. Dynamic stretching produced significantly greater club head speeds, greater ball speeds, straighter swing path and more centered clubface impact.

If you want to see immediate improvements in your game, start using a series of dynamic golf stretches before you play each round. Try starting with the following stretches (which I found on YouTube: Bing Videos) . For each exercise grip one of your clubs near each end.

1-Squat while lifting your hands over your head and then return to the standing position.

2-Hold your club across the back of your shoulders and alternately, rotate to either side and return to center.

MGS EXPERIENCES: INDIAN WELLS GOLF RESORT

Golf is extraordinary. It challenges you, teaches life lessons and encourages fellowship. It also allows you to immerse yourself in breathtaking art. I am not talking about art hanging in museums. I am talking about the art of a golf course and a destination.

As golfers, we know the famous golf destinations: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Torrey Pines Golf Course and St Andrews. The list goes on and on and should include a lesser-known destination.

California’s Coachella Valley. Specifically, Indian Wells Golf Resort.

Indian Wells Golf Resort

Indian Wells Golf Resort is smack dab in the middle of Coachella Valley. Why is it a destination worth considering? It is a resort with a twist. It’s a 36-hole municipal golf facility. That’s right. It’s technically a “muni.” While the City of Indian Wells owns the property, it outsources its management to Troon Golf. I can personally attest that Troon’s presence brings life, hospitality and high customer satisfaction standards to Indian Wells Golf Resort.

Beauty and The Beast

Fun fact: Beauty and the Beast was my favorite movie as a child, according to my parents. These days, I can aptly apply that phrase to two phenomenally different golf courses: The Celebrity and The Players.
