Innovation Unveiled: MyStrategy from Shot Scope

MyStrategy from Shot Scope may prove to be one of the most useful innovations in the shot/data tracking game since its inception.

Yeah, we just wrote that.

Shot Scope is unveiling the MyStrategy function today with relatively little fanfare. But if it does what we think it does, you may be able to practically apply all your shot data to actually playing the game. Based on what we’ve seen so far – granted, we’ve only scratched the surface – competitive golfers and golf trip junkies will be able to strategically plan their next rounds.

MyStrategy from Shot Scope: The Basics

MyStrategy is a new function on the Shot Scope dashboard on your computer and on your phone. It uses all your distance and dispersion shot data to help you decide how you’d like to play any hole on any mapped course.

In other words, it allows you to build a game plan based on history, not hope.

These Staff Favorite Hats Are 30% Off

That old hat of yours is looking a little sad, isn’t it? Don’t worry, I’ll hook you up with a new one.

All I want is for you to feel cool and confident. Whether your hairline is looking more sparce than an outdoor driving range in Winter or you need a hat that can withstand life’s greatest adventure, the solution is the same: buy a Melin.

The best part? Select styles are 30% off for the Holidays. I told you I’d hook you up!

I know what you’re thinking: Melin Hats are expensive. And, you’re not wrong. It’s rare that a hat cost more than $30 or so. And no, Melin hats are not (sadly) magic. It won’t cure your slice or make you a better golfer. Honestly, if you’d rather pull out that crusty old curved bill than spend money on a new hat, this sale isn’t for you.

On the flipside, if you’re very particular about your hats and are a fan of great quality, there’s never been a better (or more budget-friendly) time to splurge on a Melin hat. They rarely run sales, and the style selection is fairly robust.

MNML MR1 Golf Bag: Nothing Minimal About It

There is a lot of cool gear in the golf equipment world that doesn’t always fit neatly into Most Wanted Tests or Buyer’s Guides. You still want to know how it performs. In our We Tried It series, we put gear to the test and let you know if it works as advertised.

What We Tried:

The MNML MR1 Golf Bag. We last heard from MNML Golf a few years ago when we reviewed the MV2 stand bag. Since then, the California-based brand has been tweaking their original design to make it even more functional (and eco-friendly)

Who Tried It:

Connor. Director of Soft Goods Testing and resident sneakerhead. I believe golf is better with a pair of cool shoes and comfortable joggers. When the MNML MR1 showed up at my door with my initials hand-painted on the front pocket, it got me feeling some type of way.

MNML MR1 Golf Bag Review

The goal of this review is to find out if the MNML MR1 is your vibe or not. As with any product I review, the MR1 golf bag is not for everyone.

MNML MR1: Who Is It For?

You don’t take the game (or yourself) too seriously. Playing in a T-shirt and shorts is more your thing. A few drinks on the course? Why not? The MNML golfer is laidback, chill and overall happy to be out enjoying this game we call golf.

Major(s) News & Notes, November 9th, 2023

A first class course can only be made in time. It must develop. The proper distance between holes, the shrewd placing of bunkers and other hazards, the perfecting of putting greens, all must be evolved by a process of growth and it requires study and practice. C.B. MACDONALD
